Barely recovering from the smash reviews of his debut single “Mojuwonlo” featuring MI and Olamide, @ijuwonlo , the Lagos based singer drops another potential hit titled Nifemi in his native Yoruba meaning “Love me still”. The Afro-pop track starts off soulfully with tinges of high life that are maintained throughout the track; a melodic fusion of tribal beats, arranged as frets along the neck of a folk guitar and reminiscent of the clapping sounds from a thoroughly entertained community of listeners transposed by the music.
iJay’s vocal delivery is mature almost like that of a tales by moonlight story teller cum town crier. Crafting a story about love and all its assessments but stirring up riveting insights into the future that no one is certain of.
