The 19-year-old, who won bronze for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, revealed he decided to open up about his personal life after being misquoted in an interview that left him 'angry and frustrated'.
'Of course I fancy girls, but right now I'm dating a guy and I couldn't be happier. I feel safe and it really does feel right,' he says in the five-minute video.
'People are going to have their own opinions and people are going to make a big deal of this – is it a big deal? I don't think so.
