Mrs Victoria Elliot—Actress, Humanitarian and wife of Honourable Desmond Elliot—joined forces with Transfast on their initiative to make this a Christmas to remember for needy children in and around Lagos. Mrs Elliot, who frequently accompanies her Actor, Director and Statesman husband on outreaches and campaigns, again accompanied Hon. Desmond on Friday the 11th of December 2015 to support and launch a football match that took place at Lekan Balogun Teslim Stadium, a match which was also attended by the Transfast Africa team.

December 13th saw TransfastCares’ campaign to provide orphanages and centres across Lagos with food and gifts [the latter of which was handed out by Transfast’s Father Christmas] kick off at Living Fountain Orphanage, whereafter two additional orphanages were visited. Mrs Elliot and her husband accompanied Mr Jay Vix [Global Marketing Director of Transfast], Father Christmas and the Transfast Africa Team on the visit, which saw hundreds of little faces lit with joy as they received their presents and relayed their wishes to Father Christmas.

On the second day of the outreach, Monday the 14th, Victoria Elliot joined forces with Transfast Africa, the Finger Licking Restaurant Group and a First Bank of Nigeria Executive as four more orphanages and centres were visited, namely House of Gold Orphanages, Children’s Centre Idi-Araba, Correctional Centre for Girls, Idi-Araba and Special Correctional Centre for Girls, Idi Araba.

Mrs Elliot joined Father Christmas in wishing the delighted children a ‘Merry Christmas’ and a ‘Happy New Year’, with Mrs Elliot also encouraging the children to be future leaders.

The management and staff of the orphanages and centres showed their gratitude to the visitors for their kind gesture and encouraged Mr Jay Vix and Mrs Elliot to keep up the good work. Mrs Elliot, in turn, thanked the Transfast Africa team for creating a wonderful festive season for the children, stating that it “is an honour having Transfast here in Nigeria.” She added that “[we] really appreciate the Global Marketing Manager of the company for making this type of campaign the first priority on their list.”
