You sure have seen and spent a lot of N20 notes. But have you ever wondered who the woman on it is?

For your pleasure, we bring you 7 key things you should know about that prominent woman:

1. The woman on the N20 note, the woman ever to grace any Naira note, is Nigeria's best known potter, Dr. Ladi Kwali.

2. In 1925, she was born in the village of Kwali in the Gwari region of Northern Nigeria, where pottery was a common occupation among women and she served as an apprentice under her aunt.

3.  Several of her works were acquired by the Emir of Abuja, where they were seen by London-born Michael Cardew in 1950. Four years later, she joined Cardew's pottery training centre in Abuja, its only woman potter, where she learned to throw pots on the wheel.

4. Through Kwali's contact with Cardew, who was English an studio potter, she and her work became known in Europe, Britain and America.

5. She became Nigeria's best-known potter, was awarded a doctorate and was made MBE in 1963.

6. The Abuja Pottery was renamed the Ladi Kwali Pottery and a major street in at Wuse Zone 4 in Abuja is called Ladi Kwali Road and another near NITEL Office in Minna, Niger State is called Dr.Ladi Kwali Road .

7. Although married, she did not have any children of her own till she died on the 12th of August 1984 at the age of 59 in Minna, shortly after Cardew's death the previous year.
