The untitled song, in which Parton had the 100,000-strong crowd join her for a chorus of "mud, mud, mud" in honor of the somewhat damp and muddy settings following three days of sporadic rain, has become so popular that plans are being put together to produce a proper version and record it.
I'm getting so much demand for the mud song that we're talking about recording it. There have been so many requests," the country legend told The Sun tabloid, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. "There is talk about getting a different artist to perform it every year" at Glastonbury.
Following Parton's performance at Glastonbury there was a hint of controversy after claims that she had been lip-syncing onstage. The 68-year-old responded in her outspoken style, saying: "My boobs are fake, my hair's fake, but what is real is my voice and my heart."
