Blame it On the Dog
A guy goes to pick up his date for the evening. She's not ready yet, so he has to sit in the living room with her parents.
He has a bad case of wind and really needs to relieve some pressure.
Lucky, the family dog jumps up on the couch next to him. He decides that he can let a little wind out and if anyone notices they will think that the dog did it.
He passes wind, and the woman yells, "Spot, get down from there."
The guy thinks, "Great, they think the dog did it." He releases some more wind, and the woman again yells for the dog to get down.
This goes on a couple more times. Finally the woman yells, "Come on, Spot, get down before he poops on you."
A Word for Today
Are you exhausted?
"Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint"

Let me first of all wish you all a very happy new month! It's a strategic month; it's the beginning of the 2nd half of 2014. We indeed are grateful to God Almighty for keeping us thus far, we know that it's not been by our power or might, it's by His mercies that we have not been consumed. Usually after the 1st half of a football game, the coach calls his boys together to motivate them and strategize how to score more goals in the 2nd half. It doesn't matter if hereto you have not scored any goal, God is calling us today beyond our disappointments and pains in the 1st half of 2014.
Our text makes us to understand today that our physical strength can fail us, youths are meant to be full of energy, especially the men…., however with all the potential of super strength, they can still get weary and tired, 6 months have gone this year already, you probably had a lot of expectations at the beginning of this year, you had goals that you hoped to have achieved by now, some people have situations they have been dealing with and had hoped would be better now, but rather than getting better, its deteriorated and right now you feel exhausted. The bible today gives us hope, God is saying to us not to give up, but rather to WAIT on Him. Waiting on God gives renewed strength, instead of feeling depressed and tired, you can be refreshed in God. Note that 'Waiting', cannot be passive, you need to 'wait' on God like the 'Waiter' will 'wait' on you at a restaurant. They are there ever ready and eager to take your order and serve you. So also we need to wait on God, ready to receive divine instruction from Him and swing into total obedience. When we do this supernatural strength will be unleashed into our lives so much so that we will run and not be weary, we will walk and not faint.
Confession
I will not faint in the 2nd half of 2014, I will 'Wait' on God for supernatural strength. Victory is mine. Halleluyah!
