According to eyewitnesses in the area, two big explosions rocked the Jos University Teaching Hospital inside the Terminus Market near Murtala Mohammed way, in Jos city.
At least five residents of the area had informed security officials that they were suspicious of the mysteriously van parked in their area, but no police arrived at the scene, and nothing was done until the car exploded hours later.
The massive explosions led to serious commotion in the area as the two bombs were primed to inflict maximum casualties as they exploded just few minutes apart. Over 100 have died…
The first vehicle to explode was a Peugeot J5 van, with registration number XG 148 BLD. The second blast was carried out with a Toyota van, with a Gombe state license plate number.
The second car, a Toyota Sienna van, had been abandoned in the area since 6:00am on Tuesday morning but the security men in the area failed to take action on time. I don't understand why they fail to take action.
