Rolling Stones To Play Abu Dhabi In 2014.

February 21, 2014 will witness a face-off of legends in the UAE.

The British band had teased fans in the UAE with a tweet in Arabic last week about "surprises". Now, they have officially announced a date at Yas Island on the same stage that welcomed the likes of Depeche Mode, Muse, Rihanna and Jay-Z over the past few months. Event organizers Flash entertainment have confirmed to tabloid! that this will be the biggest concert they've held yet, but would not disclose the capacity.

The Stones have been making ground-breaking music for over five decades, but this will be their first performance in the country as part of their 14 On Fire tour. Frontman Mick Jagger shared his excitement in a press release.

"Can't wait to be back on stage especially in Abu Dhabi," he said. "I am really looking forward to playing all your favourite songs and seeing you all very soon."
Guitarist Keith Richards echoed his sentiments.

"The best place in the world for me is out on that stage. Standby everyone...it's back to where we belong, Me, Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and some friends all rocking out together," he said. "The wheels are in motion and we're on our way… see you very soon!"

Something special for hardcore fans: Jagger, Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts will be joined by former member Mick Taylor on stage as a special guest.
