NEWS - Army Sergeant Accused Of Recruiting Soldiers As Prostitutes.

Female soldiers at Fort Hood testified Monday that they were recruited for a prostitution ring set up by a sergeant involved in the sexual assault and harassment program at the Central Texas post.

The testimony came as the court-martial began for another Fort Hood soldier accused of using the service, which Army prosecutors said preyed upon young, cash-strapped female soldiers at Fort Hood.

Gee, it's a good thing the military can handle its sexual assault and harassment problems itself. With staff like that, who wouldn't trust the Army's efforts and laugh at the idea that maybe Congress should remove sexual assault prosecution decisions from the chain of command? In fact, as this case shows, prosecutions need to be removed from the chain of command because sometimes that's where the problems are coming from to begin with. Yet right now, there's doubt about whether real change will even get a vote in the Senate.
