Eagles Manager Stephen Keshi "Axes" Three Players From Super Eagles Camp.

Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi, has trimmed the number of players preparing for the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) camp after decamping three players from the Bolton White Hotel on Saturday. The players affected are Kingsley Onome of Sunshine Stars, Bello John Ikeleji of Bendel Insurance and Eric Kwame of Plateau United.

The CHAN, a tournament for national team players playing professional football in their homeland, is billed for South Africa in January 2014.

More players will be sent packing after a warm up clash against a selected side in Port Harcourt, and Monday's final preparatory game against Glo Premier League champions Kano Pillars.

In another development, the medical team of the Super Eagles has assured the technical crew that injured Kano Pillars striker Mohammed Gambo will recover in time before the commencement of the Chan tournament.

Gambo has a hamstring injury, which has forced him out of training.
