Super Eagles star, player, Victor Moses has set a target of 20 goals for himself at Liverpool for the ongoing season.
He is on loan from Chelsea and can play in a variety of positions, but in the first-team games he has taken part in so far, Moses has mostly played as a winger.
Moses who was adjudged the 'Footballer of the Year' in the male category at this year's Nigerian Sports Award held during the week at the Muson Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. He scored on his debut on September 16 against Swansea City in a 2-2 draw, but has failed to add to that goal in the eight matches since.
His last three appearances have come as a substitute and, with Liverpool playing only league matches until the FA Cup begins for them in January, he may find his chances limited.
"I just want to score goals. I wanted to score around 20 goals this season," Moses told English journalists on Friday.
"We've still got lots of games to go so hopefully I can get up to that target. I think I've got the ability to do that so I'm looking forward to every game, "he said.
Liverpool is averaging two goals per game with in-form forward duo of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge scoring nine apiece already.
But, despite such prolific play, Moses believes the Reds can still do more in front of goal.
"The main thing is to be on the pitch and enjoy football. That's always been on my mind – to play games.
"There was only a little spell at Wigan when I first signed there and I wasn't in the team every week.
"I've always gone to places for the football, places where I'm going to play. By playing, you learn, and I think I can develop a lot more but I realise to achieve that I've got to play as much as possible, "he said.
Moses is the third Liverpool player to publicly complain about lack of game time. At the beginning of November, Daniel Agger also made the same complaint on Danish television.
A couple of days after Agger, Luis Alberto publicly revealed his frustration with his status as a perennial bench-warmer onLFC.com.
Sebastian Coates has also gone public on his disappointment with life at Anfield, stating his frustration in a March interview with Uruguayan newspaper El Observador.
Moses had stated on arrival at Anfield that he left Chelsea because his first team chances were limited.
