This implies that PTV as a corporate brand will now have PTV phones, PTV computers, servicing among other electronic businesses. This diversification is said to be as a result of ensuring the company fulfils its goal of being a key player in the nation's ICT industry.
PTV phones started trading in Nigeria, in 1999, with computer and I.T products; and commenced the sales of cell phones in 2001, with the advent of GSM technology.
Banji Adesanmi, the CEO of PTV Phones, said the move informed by consumer research will position the company to serve its growing clientèle base.
He reiterated that this is one of the ways the company aims at fulfilling its new business model of remaining a key player in the nation's ICT industry.
"It is pertinent to state that PTV remains a credible brand name in the ICT industry," he said. "We are leveraging our positive brand heritage to sustain our pedigree in the market place."
He declared that PTV has a desired ambition to occupy the foremost position as Nigeria's leading phone and electronic retail store stating that the firm has the attributes of being a goal getter, innovative and enthusiastic about the needs of its customers.
