Having concluded its nationwide auditions, the 2013 edition of the talent reality show 'The Next Movie Star' is set to commence with a 24-hour broadcast.
The reality show, which is in its 9th year is tagged 'A Call to Stardom', and according to the producers of the show, Digital Interactive Media, in addition to the daily broadcast, there will also be one-hour daily highlight editions on selected Television stations across Africa.
The show's kick-off date is yet to be announced but it will consist of twelve housemates from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, South Africa.
The winners of this year's edition will walk away with a brand new SUV, cash prizes, 3 movie contracts, home appliances and lots more.
Next Movie Star has produced Nigerian celebrities like Uti Nwachukwu, Tonto Dike, Karen Igho, Kevin Chuwang Pam, Annie Macauley-Idibia, Adams Adebola Ibrahim, and Lydia Forson.
Past winners of the show are Kingsley Ogboso (2005), Portia Yamahan (2006), Enoch Hammond (2007), Avennette T. Sirleaf (2008), Oyindamola Odesola (2009), Akio Ilami (2010), Tamara Eteimo (2011) and Halimat Aitsegame (2012)
