A top army officer in Ghana who
was a victim of jungle justice after he was mistaken for a robber has been
buried with full military honour. The late Ghanaian
soldier, Major Maxwell Mahama who was brutally lynched to
death by an irate community members who mistook him for a thief has finally been laid to rest in a military funeral ceremony. The burial was attended by several Ghanaian
important personalities including the Vice President of Ghana, Mahamadu
Bawumia, former President John Mahama, members of Parliament and other State
officials. Friends, family and
hundreds of mourners were present as the body of the late Major Maxwell was
buried with full military honours.
