Gifts for a teacher!

It was at the end of the school year, and a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her pupils. The florist's son handed her a gift. She shook it, held it overhead, and said, "I bet I know what it is. Some flowers." "That's right" the boy said, "but how did you know?" "Oh, just a wild guess," she said.
The next pupil was the candy shop owner's daughter. The teacher held her gift overhead, shook it, and said, "I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets." "That's right, but how did you know?" asked the girl. "Oh, just a wild guess," said the teacher.
The next gift was from the son of the liquor store owner. The teacher held the package overhead, but it was leaking. She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and touched it to her tongue. "Is it wine?" she asked. "No," the boy replied, with some excitement.
The teacher repeated the process, taking a larger drop of the leakage to her tongue. "Is it champagne?" she asked. "No," the boy replied, with more excitement. The teacher took one more taste before declaring, "I give up, what is it?" With great glee, the boy replied, "It's a puppy!"

A Word for Today

Being Audacious!

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
-Romans 1:16 (AMP)

Some are not just bold enough to declare their faith, they try to blend with the crowd, they are like chameleons, adapting to every situation they find themselves in. In a bid to be accepted, they drop their standards and compromise what they believe. Apostle Paul said that he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; many people struggle to stand up for who they are in Christ in their places of work, neighbourhood or schools, some tend to cover up their faith because they feel they will not be accepted. We need to come to the point that we declare our faith anywhere without being ashamed, carry our bibles anywhere and be able to speak for and about Christ.
Jesus Christ even told us that whoever is ashamed of Him here on earth (denies him), He will deny them in the presence of His Father. Matt 10:33. Our faith is not what we put on and off as the situation calls for, some are very good Christians in the midst of other Christians, but the moment they are in the midst of their unbelieving friends, they switch and blend in.
Know that many around the world are being persecuted for their faith, if you are blessed enough to be in an area where you have freedom to exercise your faith, then you need to go all the way. Paul also wrote that "all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (2 Timothy 3:12).
Many are persecuted by being ridiculed or mocked, others lose their jobs or experience financial hardships, and some are jailed, tortured, or even put to death. In many predominantly Muslim countries, Christians are confronted with the choice of converting to Islam or being expelled or even killed.
Don't compromise, but stand strong for your Faith, stand up for the Gospel, its powerful enough to meet you at every point of your need.
We are being challenged today to boldly stand up and stand tall for the gospel.
Have a blessed weekend!

You can say this prayer now to accept His love...

Salvation Prayers

If you don't Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer: Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

If you have said this prayer from your heart, congratulations! Please email us at admin@empowermenthouse.com, we will like to know you better and help you grow in your new faith.
