Between 28th and 30th April 2015, the College of Business and Social Sciences (CBS) would celebrate its 2015 college week. It is a period of spicing academic pursuits with social activities. In Landmark University, a week is devoted to each College every year to showcase its accomplishments and the talents of its students in the convivial atmosphere of social exchanges. This is in line with the tradition of the University to produce a total man that is an embodiment of academic and social excellence.
The
2015 CBS Week would provide a platform for a variety of programmes involving
faculty and students. The three-day event which would start on Tuesday, 28th April, with a Special Prayer session at the University’s Chapel with dress code (touch of blue).
As
part of the University’s vision to be a solution-provider to the myriad
existential challenges confronting and threatening Nigeria and Africa,
the College organized a public lecture.
The
social aspects of the celebration is going to be engaging as the
intellectually stimulating public lecture. One of the major competitions
of this event is the game of Treasures, which would involve suspense and intelligence. A football match between faculty and students followed by a match between Business sciences and social sciences.
The
climax of this Week’s activities is the dinner and presentation of
Awards to deserving members of faculty and students. This event would hold on the night of 30th April and represents the best moments for
Award recipients.
