Buhari, Aregbesola and Others to Storm Lagos for Ambode #Ambo15

Sensing that the battle for Lagos State governorship seat on Saturday may not be a tea party
for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Daily Sun has gathered that the party has
finalized arrangements to bring in the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, for a grand rally this week in support of their party's
candidate, Mr. Akinmwumi Ambode. The APC was said not to be comfortable with the result
of the presidential poll held on March 28, where it polled 792,460 votes against 632,327 votes polled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the situation that had emboldend the PDP to dream victory on Saturday with just a little more
effort. Buhari's presence at the rally, Daily Sun learnt, would serve as morale booster to the
APC in the state because of the inherent benefit in having a link with the centre, while Aregbesola's involvement, according to a reliable source, was borne out of his being a unique grassroots mobiliser and an unrivalled entertaining campaigner.

The duo of Buhari and Aregbesola are being dragged to Lagos to complement the campaign powerhouse of the party's National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, whose achievements in
the state are viewed as legendary.

However, the leadership of the PDP in the state appears battle-ready as one of their national
leaders, Chief Olabode George, was said to have vowed to campaign with the last drop of his blood to win the state for his party, insisting that his party's candidate in the election, Mr.
Jimi Agbaje, was a sellable material any day.

Against this background, Daily Sun gathered that all the combatants in the two parties were not leaving any stone unturned as they had intensified efforts towards wooing the eligible voters in the state to vote for their respective candidates.

Consequently, their open rallies, nocturnal campaigns and house-to-house contacts are
now targeted at market men and women, artisans, non-indigenes, ethnic groups, social and political associations, student unions, Okada and tricycle riders associations and road transport workers as well as various
professionals across the state.
