Church Gossip
Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed arbiter of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose in the other members' private lives. Church members were unappreciative of her activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.
She commented to George and others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.
George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny; he said nothing.
Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house... and left it there all night!
A Word for Today
There is a Guarantee!
"The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you."
-Deut 28:8 (NLT)
Often times when you buy certain commodities, a guarantee comes with it, you are given peace of mind for a particular period of time that of anything goes wrong with the product, it will be either repaired or replaced. Peace of mind is derived, from the purchase of such products, so the customers are not bothered, if they get home and plug in their dishwasher, and it does not work, or it stops working after a few days, they don't become fretful, depressed or agitated that they have lost money, they simply get in touch with the supplier for either a repair or a replacement as they have a guarantee in place. In this season, God is saying to you that everything you do is guaranteed to be blessed, as a covenant child of God, you don't need to fret or panic because of what you see or the news you hear, your case is different, it doesn't matter if the costs increases or the economy gets 'worse' out there, as a child of God, we have a guarantee from our heavenly Father, that everything we do is blessed. The enemy will set out to make you fret or be discouraged by the happenings around you, but we need to rise above it all, and know HE who has promised is the ALMIGHTY who can NEVER fail, HE is faithful and able. The battle is for the peace in our hearts, but we need to win this by trusting in God, in His unchanging Word that cannot fall down, until it is fulfilled. Isa 26:3. When situations arise that seem to negate the Word of God, let us go to our maker, the One who manufactured us and has told us that our blessing is guaranteed. Just like when the dishwasher which is supposed to work well for at least 2 years misbehaves after 2 weeks, you simply go the manufacturer who has guaranteed the product. In this season, don't rush to your phone, simply run to the throne!
Confession
The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything I do and will fill me with supernatural increase on all sides. Halleluyah!
