Obiefuna who is from the South East of Nigeria with both his parents from the Igbo speaking regions described himself as "Nwa Afo Igbo " meaning he is a true son of the soil .
He was influenced into joining the make believe world of cinematography through the love he described as "a moving force in my life" and went ahead to delve into acting at a very tender age, later during his spell as an actor, he became even more inspired and had this urge to encourage people into becoming artistes, a feature which later resulted in his quest to attend professional courses and in time started producing his own movies.
He is one of Nollywoods leading actors, having appeared in many high-earning films including: Decider, Double Casket, Last Hit, Breakthrough and the recently released movie, Empire.
Over the years Obiefuna has produced many movies which include Bleeding Scale, In The Beginning, Tears for Tomorrow and many more and has also hinted on setting up a studio to help harness the fresh talents he says are left to waste without being adequately tapped by the movers and shakers of the industry.
Obiefuna is a hard worker who is not relenting in his goals of winning awards at the African Movie Academy Awards , Nigeria Entertainment Awards and very soon, hopes the much coveted International recognition for his works would be a reality to come through.
Afterall, Lupita Nyongo has made it clear that our dreams indeed are valid!
