Tiesto 'Lights' Up Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart With Two Top 10s

Tiesto takes a second track into the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, as "Wasted" (13-10) joins "Red Lights" (7-5). "Wasted," featuring Matthew Koma, rides a 22 percent sales increase (11,000 downloads in the week ending May 18, according to Nielsen SoundScan), while "Lights" improves with a 3 percent streaming gain (1.2 million U.S. streams, 65 percent from Spotify, according to Nielsen BDS). "Wasted" also joins "Lights" in the Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10, cruising 20-9, up 33 percent, in its second week.

"Lights" previously spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay and marks Tiesto's best-performing Billboard Hot 100 song to date, this week up 58-56. The track features uncredited vocals from Michel Zitron, a co-writer.

Further down Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Tiesto, along with Icona Pop, arrives with the just-released "Let's Go" (No. 30; 6,000 sold). All three songs are from the DJ's forthcoming album, "A Town Called Paradise" (June 17). Hailed as a departure from Tiesto's trademark house-trance sound and a swing towards mainstream, U.S. radio-friendly EDM, "Paradise" contains further collaborations, including those with Krewella, Ladyhawke and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, among others.

'DANCE' HIT: Make the Girl Dance scores the top debut on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with "Kill Me" (No. 19). Although originally released in 2010, the track's 748,000 YouTube streams buoy it into the top half of the chart (and onto Dance /Electronic Steaming Songs at No. 20), where newly-active older titles are allowed to re-enter.

Why the spike in streams? A viral video featuring the song's audio in which a woman is seen walking through the streets of Paris while wearing nothing but a shirt, thong and body-painted blue jeans (somehow largely unnoticed).

POWERFUL 'WOMEN': Chromeo captures its best sales week (16,000) and first No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Albums with the debut of "White Women." The Canadian duo's retro-electro album features several guest performers, including Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig on "Ezra's Interlude" and Solange on "Lost on the Way Home." The album also grants Chromeo its best performance on the Billboard 200 (No. 11), where previously the pair hit No. 70 with "Business Casual" in 2010.

The new set's "Jealous (I Ain't With It)" rises two spots on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs (19-17), sporting 430,000 U.S. streams (70 percent from Spotify). It also re-enters Dance/Electronic Digital Songs at No. 20 (5,000, up from a negligible amount the prior week).

'WARRIOR' WINS: Havana Brown nabs her fourth Dance Club Songs No. 1 with "Warrior" (2-1). Remixes from Dave Aude, Borgeous and Razor N  Guido, among others, helped the Australian singer reach the top. The song is set to be performed on May 25 on Australia's incarnation of "The Voice."
