A real estate salesman and his boss
A
real estate salesman had just closed his first deal, only to discover
that the piece of land he had sold was completely under water.
“That customer's going to come back here pretty mad,” he said to his boss. “Should I give him his money back?” “Money back?” roared the boss. “What kind of salesman are you? Get out there and sell him a houseboat.” |
A Word for Today |
What are you hoping for?
"There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off."
-Prov 23:18 (NIV)
Happy Easter. May the same power that resurrected Jesus Christ work in you and perfect all that concerns you.
What are you hoping for? Most will say good things of course, but really deep down, it may be the fear that something will go wrong. Fear is not of God, and the bible says fear torments, our verse talks about our hope and expectations coming to physical manifestations, it can either be good expectations or bad expectations. Job said after his afflictions that the things he greatly feared had come upon him (Job 3:25), Job was a righteous man, to the extent that God could boast about him, but fear tormented him. Make up your mind to get rid of the fear, don't hope for bad things, rather expect good things, no matter what the situation is around you, God reigns and rules above it all and there is indeed a future for you. You might be enjoying God's goodness now and might be thinking it's too good to be true, and somewhere in your heart thinking it might not last and things might take the turn for the worse, NO, it won't, you are God's child and His thoughts towards you are good, so you too need to channel your thoughts in the positive direction, whatever the Lord does is forever. Ecc 3:14, 'And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it...'Wake up everyday, knowing it's the day the Lord has made, and because God has made that day, no evil can lurk around in it, expect only blessings and miracles. Allow God’s Word to take root in your heart, use it to get rid of fear, write it out if need be and paste it beside your bed, let it be the first thing you see when you wake up, because indeed your hope will not be cut off, God is a faithful God. Have a splendid Easter! |
Confession |
Fear
has no root in my life, I expect only blessings and miracles, no evil
will come near me and no plague will come near my dwelling place.
Halleluyah!

Have You Accepted Jesus into your life? |
You can say this prayer now to accept His love...
Salvation Prayers
If
you don't Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like
to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please
say this prayer: Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins
have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn
away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me
avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my
sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I
invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my
heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me
obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I
pray, Amen.
If you have said this prayer from your heart, congratulations! Please email us at admin@empowermenthouse.com, we will like to know you better and help you grow in your new faith.
