Peter Dedevbo, the coach of the Nigeria U-20 Women's Team, the Falconet, said on Wednesday that the team was ready for the qualifier match against South Africa .
The Falconets will take on their South African counterparts in the first leg final round qualifier for the 2014 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Saturday.
Dedevbo said after a friendly match against the FCT male team at the FIFA Goal Project pitch at the National Stadium in Abuja that he had no fear about the game.
He said that his team had adequately prepared for the South Africa match and that he was satisfied with the team's performance, so far.
The friendly match between Falconets and FCT male team ended 4-2.
"There was a lot of improvement in the area of their passes, control and other aspects; the team is okay and I am satisfied with their play.
"I can confidently say that we are set for South Africa,'' he said.
Coach Usman Ilerika of the FCT Team said: "Judging by their performance in this match, the Falconets are fully prepared for their final round match.
"I believe they are fully prepared for the match against the South African team.''
He noted that the players had improved in the way they play, stating that their defence and tactical play was impressive.
"They are playing very well now; they are very fit and their tactical play is becoming stronger.
"If they can repeat this type of performance against South Africa, I don't think that they will have any problems because the team is more coordinated now.
"So, I hope that they continue with this same spirit; if they do, the South African team will not be able to beat them on Saturday,'' he said. (NAN)
