Jonathan, Tukur, Others In Crucial PDP Caucus Meeting.

 

In an apparent effort to resolve the leadership crisis in the People's Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo and the National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, last night met with members of the party's caucus at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.



Others in attendance were Senate President David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Eweremadu; Deputy Speaker, Emeka Ihedioha; Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; and House Leader, Mulikat Akande.

Also present were members of the National Working Committee (NWC)including Deputy National Chairman, Uche Secondus; and National Women Leader, Kema Chikwe.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih; its Secretary, Walid Jubril; former National Chairman, Ahmadu Ali; former Deputy Chairman, Bode George; Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum,  Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State and Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State.

Checks revealed that President Jonathan had met with Tukur and some governors elected on the party's platform before the caucus meeting.
