Dresden police said that they have arrested a police officer, 55, after the body of another man was found in the Erz Mountains in eastern Germany.
Investigators believe the two men met through an Internet site for cannibals.
The suspect denied eating body parts and said he killed the man because he requested it.
The dead man lived in Hanover, and had been reported missing by his business partner.
Police said the victim was murdered and dismembered, and parts of his body were buried in a piece of land in the mountainous region that belonged to the murderer.
