And it is claimed she is taking well to a normal daily routine.
"Amanda has settled into a pattern with her parents," a source told Life & Style magazine.
"After outpatient rehab, they take her for lunch or pick up food and bring it home. Then they walk the dog, have dinner and stay in."
Amanda was taken into custody by mental health officials after she set a neighbor's driveway on fire.
The summer incident was the last in a series of troubling events before she was reportedly treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Since Amanda's release into her parents' custody a few weeks ago, she has been photographed taking part in very fun activities.
The star went Christmas shopping in Los Angeles recently and she also visited Disneyland in Anaheim.
According to TMZ Amanda had fun "acting goofy" during her family trip to the theme park.
And an onlooker tells Life & Style magazine "she was perfectly composed" as she rode rollercoasters in the happiest place on earth.
Amanda's representative has previously revealed she is dedicated to building strong bonds with loves ones at this time.
"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," her lawyer Tamar Arminak said in a statement. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day.
"Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to re-establish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."
The spokesperson said Amanda is also thinking about going to college to major in fashion design.
